Baked potatoes in the oven, cooked according to this recipe, are so tasty that you can serve it not only as a side dish to the meat dish, but also as an independent hot snack. I do not like boiled potatoes, which, according to tradition, are lined with a dish of baked chicken or ham. Most often, the unfortunate potatoes remain on the holiday table unclaimed, and the owners deal with it on the day after the holiday on their own. Baked potatoes in this recipe are stuffed with onion fried in butter and aromatic spices. I met the similar recipe of baked potato in culinary books under the name potato American-style. - 200 g onions;
- 50 g butter;
- 40 ml of olive oil;

Method of cooking baked potatoes in the oven
For this recipe for baked potatoes, you should specifically pick the potatoes. We choose large oblong tubers, without visible damages. If you cook a certain number of servings, I advise you to add a few extra potatoes, you never know what will be inside.
Tubers thoroughly wash with a brush, do not clean the peel!
Put the potatoes in a deep pan, pour boiling water, cook for 20 minutes.
Cut a thin slice from the potato, then carefully scrape the middle with a spoon so that the walls are about a centimeter thick. We make “boats” of all potatoes.
Chop fine onions. Pour a tablespoon of olive oil into a frying pan, add creamy, melt. In the melted butter throw chopped onion, sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Cook the onions 10-12 minutes, until it becomes caramel color.
Chop the potatoes in the middle with a knife, add them to the onion in the pan - this is the basis of our baked potato filling.
Now we season the stuffing with baked potatoes - pour dried thyme, 2-3 teaspoons of dried carrots, paprika, salt to taste, mix well.
Pour the remaining olive oil on a baking sheet with a non-stick coating, put potato boats. We “tangle” the boats in oil from all sides, so that when baking you get a crisp crust.
We fill the boats with a filling tightly, with our hands we form a small hill.
We heat up to 250 degrees oven. We send baking sheet on the lower shelf. Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown. 5-7 minutes until cooked sprinkle with grated cheese.
To the table, baked potatoes are served hot, this dish is eaten only hot! Enjoy your meal.
