Agree that the characteristic sharp smell is somewhat inappropriate if you need to communicate with people. However, there are several tricks and varieties of radish that will avoid this. They are not so odorous, for example, green, or, as in this recipe, red-green. Despite some, I would say minor “flaws”, the radish is so tasty and useful that not including it in the menu is just a crime!
If you pre-process the vegetable, the pungent smell and taste are significantly softened. To partly get rid of the smell, you must first soak the chopped radish in cold water, then drain the water, sprinkle with fine salt and let stand in an open container so that the smell will disappear a little.
Radish is not only a storehouse of vitamins, it is also a powerful antioxidant, and although there is a saying “worse than bitter radish”, the useful qualities of this vegetable will outweigh all the negative reviews.
As for onions, for this salad you should simply fry the onion in a mixture of butter and vegetable oil.

- 250 g of red radish;

Wash red radish thoroughly with a brush and rinse with cold water. Then peel off.
Cut into thin straws, put into a deep bowl, pour with cold boiled water, leave for 10 minutes.
Cut onions for salad into thin ringlets. We warm up refined vegetable oil in a deep frying pan, add a tablespoon of cream, pass onion a few minutes to a translucent state, salt and pepper freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Boil chicken until cooked with spices and roots. For the salad is more suitable red meat - legs, legs, thighs. You can also cook steamed chicken breast fillets - the meat is juicy. Remove the skin from the chicken, cut the meat into cubes, or disassemble the fibers with your hands.
