For herring pickling:
- 2 large herrings;
- 4 teaspoons of salt with a hill;
- 2 teaspoons of sugar;
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar;
- bay leaf, cloves, pepper.
- 2 herring fillets;
- 3 medium potatoes;
- 3 carrots;
- 3 small beets;
- 1 onion;
- mayonnaise, greens.

Salted herring. Choose a large herring with no signs of "rust". For the marinade, you need coarse salt, sugar, apple or grape vinegar, a few leaves of laurel, 6-7 black peppercorns and a few carnations.
We make a deep incision on the belly of the herring, reach the inside, remove the skin, cut off the head, remove the ridge. We put in the jar washed fillet, caviar and milk.
Making marinade. In a small amount of boiling water dissolve salt, sugar, add spices. Bring marinade to a boil, remove from heat, pour in apple or grape vinegar. Cool marinade pour herring. Marinade must be cold, otherwise the fish will cook, its flesh will become loose! We remove salted herring in the refrigerator for three days.
In 3-4 days the herring will “ripen”, you can make a classic herring, and everyone's favorite herring under a fur coat, and to diversify the look of a traditional snack, we will roll it into a roll. Make it very simple, you only need a roll of food film.
