Vegetarian cabbage rolls made from savoy cabbage with mushrooms are steamed and are great for diet, vegetarian and lenten menus. Cabbage rolls are unusually tasty, very appetizing, and, if applicable to food, beautiful, unlike their fellow cabbage, stewed in a roasting pan or fried in a pan. Savoy cabbage is more delicious than white cabbage, head of cabbage is friable, it is easier to disassemble it into individual leaves. The color of leaves - from gently green to emerald.

Ingredients for steamed vegetarian cabbage sausage cabbage
- 4 large leaves of savoy cabbage;
- 150 g fresh champignons;
- 100 grams of round rice;
- 120 g onions;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 80 g carrots;
- 130 g of bell pepper;
- 1 chili pod;
- salt, pepper, vegetable oil;
- soy sauce, Dijon mustard, cilantro and soy yogurt for sauce.
Method of cooking steamed vegetarian cabbage rolls from savoy cabbage
We start with the preparation of products for the filling. We wipe fresh champignons with a napkin or rinse with running cold water, cut the peeled mushrooms into thin slices.
In a frying pan, pour a tablespoon of vegetable oil, when the oil is heated, put the mushrooms. Cooking champignons for a few minutes, stirring so that they are evenly roasted, no need to salt!
Put the mushrooms out of the pan. Cooking vegetables in the same oil. Quickly fry the onion cut into thin half-rings, add the chilli cut into small rings and finely chopped garlic. When the onions become translucent, add a fresh carrot, cut into thin strips, fry over medium heat for a few minutes.
Add to vegetables sweet Bulgarian pepper, cut into small cubes. Cooking vegetables on moderate heat for 10 minutes.
While the vegetables are stewing, prepare cabbage leaves for vegetarian cabbage rolls. We remove large intact leaves from the head of stone, with a sharp knife we cut off the seal from the sheet. Boil 2 liters of water, add salt. One by one we put cabbage leaves into the water, blanch it for 3 minutes, put it on a colander to drain the water.
Boil round rice until cooked, but first rinse the raw cereal in cold water. Then put the cereal in a saucepan, pour in 150 ml of cold water, after boiling close the lid, cook on quiet fire for 10 minutes (do not add salt!). Put boiled rice in a bowl, add the mushrooms.
Add steamed vegetables to rice and mushrooms, at this stage add salt to your taste, sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
Divide the filling into 4 parts. Put the stuffing on the edge of the blanched cabbage leaf so that it is closer to the fleshy edge of the leaf.
Fold the edges of the leaves inward, fold the neat envelopes.
Grill steamers grease with a thin layer of vegetable oil. Put the vegetarian cabbage rolls from savoy cabbage on the wire rack, cook at a moderate boil for 20 minutes.
Serve vegetarian cabbage rolls with mushrooms and serve them hot, pour sauce. Enjoy your meal!
