Meatballs with rice in tomato sauce is a recipe for a delicious dinner, in which a side dish, meat dish and thick gravy are combined in one dish. - 450 g of minced chicken;
- 50 grams of rice;
- 15 g butter;
- 4 stalks of young garlic;
- 1 \ 2 tsp. ground sweet paprika;
- 1 \ 2 tsp. dried thyme;
- salt to taste.
For tomato sauce:
- 50g green onions;
- 100 g onion caviar or tomato ketchup;
- 200 g tomatoes;

Any chicken mincemeat is suitable for meatballs, but it is better to cook it yourself, especially since it is very simple: separate the meat from the bones of the chicken breast, remove the skin, cut into small cubes or grind in a meat grinder. We wash the rice several times in cold water, pour water into a small saucepan (one part of the rice to one part of the water), put the butter, add the washed rice, cook under the lid until ready for 10-12 minutes, cool, add to the mince .
Finely chop the stems of young garlic, put it in a bowl. Instead of the stems, you can use the arrows of garlic, while they are young and tender, it will turn out very tasty.

Mince well, knead, form large meatballs. Cook for a couple of 12 minutes. We use a regular saucepan, a colander and a lid, if there are no special devices, or prepare it in any convenient way: in a slow cooker, double boiler, microwave oven.
Making gravy. Heat the vegetable oil (about 10 ml) in a saucepan or frying pan, put the finely chopped green onions, any vegetable puree - suitable onion caviar, vegetable caviar or thick tomato ketchup. Chop fresh tomatoes finely, send them to the saucepan. Stew on medium heat for about 15 minutes, salt to taste, when the tomatoes turn into a homogeneous mass, you can consider the sauce ready.
Put the prepared meatballs in tomato sauce, warm it all together for 2-3 minutes over medium heat, so that the meat and vegetables are soaked with each other's juices.
Sprinkle the dish with green onions, immediately serve hot. It remains to cut the fresh bread, you can eat right from the pan, so delicious.
