  • Leave the container with the strawberries for an hour at room temperature, cover with a gauze to protect against insects, or store for 2 hours in the refrigerator.

  • Place a bowl of strawberries on a slow fire, bring the berry mass to a boil.
  • Increase the intensity of the flame. Boil 5 minutes, removing the foam. Throw it away is not worth it, it is better to serve this delicacy for tea.
  • Spread hot jam over prepared cans, roll them up.
  • Cover with a blanket and leave for 2 hours.

The composition (1, 5 l):

  • strawberries - 0.5 kg;
  • sugar - 1, 1 kg.

Method of preparation:

  • Prepare strawberries.
  • Pour sugar into the berry, shake it several times. Store for several hours in the refrigerator.
  • When the sugar is about half in the strawberry juice, put the bowl with the berry mass on a slow fire.
  • Heat, stirring gently with a spatula, but not allowing to boil until sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Spread the jam in pre-prepared banks, cork them tightly.

When banks are cooled to room temperature, they need to be rearranged in the refrigerator. The dessert was not boiled, so it will quickly deteriorate at room temperature. Due to the large amount of sugar, the jam made according to this recipe resembles jam by its consistency. Sugar also helps to neutralize the characteristic bitterness of the forest strawberry.

Jam from strawberries and red currants “Five minutes”

Composition (for 1, 25 l):

  • strawberries - 0.5 kg;
  • red currant - 0, 2 kg;
  • sugar - 0, 75 kg;
  • water - 150 ml.

Method of preparation:

  • Sort through, wash the strawberries and currants.
  • Pour currants with water, boil for 5 minutes, wipe through a sieve.
  • Pour strawberries with sugar in the amount of 0.5 kg. Leave for an hour.
  • Mix the blackcurrant juice with the remaining sugar.
  • After a specified time, combine the ingredients, put on fire.
  • Bring to a low heat until boiling.
  • Increase the heat, cook for 5 minutes, removing the foam.
  • Spread the dessert over sterilized jars, seal them tightly.

Jam has a pleasant harmonious taste, it is well worth it even at room temperature, but it is usually stored in a cool room (basement, unheated storeroom).
