Chicken pilaf in a multicooker

Chicken pilaf in a multicooker

There are still fewer hostesses who have no multicooker.

And the owners of this kitchen appliance try to use it in full, preparing different dishes with it. For example, plov, which even in a cauldron does not work for everyone.

But in a slow cooker, cooking this Asian dish is easy. Enough to know some culinary tricks.

Subtleties

  • Properly selected rice is the main condition for preparing crumbly pilaf. Do not buy round grain rice. It is highly boiled soft, therefore it is suitable for boiling viscous porridges and cooking casseroles.
  • Ideal rice for pilaf has oblong or long grains. They should not be starchy, because it is the starch that makes them stick together during the heat treatment.
  • Before using rice must be rinsed in several waters. And the last water should be hot enough.
  • Groats must be soaked. Then, during cooking, it absorbs water evenly, and the grains in the pilaf remain intact.
  • Although any amount of water is given in any pillow recipe, the liquid may need a little less. It depends on whether the multicooker remained in the bowl after roasting the meat juice, whether the water from the bowl of rice was completely drained after soaking, and what kind of cereal was chosen. Therefore, it is better to pour a little less water, and add boiling water at the end of cooking than to get porridge instead of pilau.
  • For pilaf, you can use any part of the chicken carcass: chicken leg, wings, breast, fillet, thighs, legs, and even stomachs with hearts. If they prefer to cook chicken pilaf with bones, then the cooking time of meat is slightly prolonged.
  • Onions, carrots, meat can be fried separately in a frying pan, and then mixed in a bowl of a slow cooker with rice. Or cook immediately in a slow cooker, laying the products in the order of succession.
