However, even realizing all the benefits of beets, some housewives rarely cook tasty dishes from it. The reason is that the beets are boiled for a very long time, and you need to constantly monitor that there is enough water in the pan. Perhaps, if everyone knew how to bake beets in a slow cooker, then this vegetable was included in the menu much more often. After all, this process is simple and relatively short.

Technology of roasting beets in a multicooker

The most useful, tasty and juicy beets, baked in a slow cooker, will be if you follow the technology and preparation time, as well as know some small secrets.

  • It is better to bake beets in a slow cooker entirely, unless the recipe provides for its preparation in slices.
  • Beets will be more juicy and tender if they are lightly greased with olive oil and wrapped in foil before baking.
  • Before putting into the multicooker, beets should be thoroughly washed and dried with a napkin. It is better not to cut off the “tail”, otherwise the beets baked in the slow cooker will be pale and unappetizing.
  • When baking beet pieces, add a little vinegar or lemon juice - this will preserve the color of the root.
  • Young beets of small size (up to 7 cm in diameter) bake for 40 minutes. Larger specimens are baked for an hour.
  • It is not necessary to add water to the multicooker bowl when baking beets.
  • To bake beets in a slow cooker, select the “Baking” program.

Beets, baked under sour cream

Composition:

  • beets - 0, 3 kg;
  • sour cream - 0, 2 l;
  • black ground pepper - 5 g;
  • coriander - 5 g;
  • vegetable oil - 20 ml;
  • apple cider vinegar (6 percent) - 10 ml;
  • salt - to taste.

Preparation Method:

  • Wash, clean the beets, cut into circles about 0, 7-0, 8 mm thick.
  • Sprinkle beets with vinegar, stir.
  • Add seasoning and stir again.
  • Lubricate the multicooker bowl with oil, place the beets.
  • Turn Baking on for 40 minutes.
  • 20 minutes after the start of the program, brush the beets with sour cream mixed with salt, and continue baking the beets until ready.

When serving, this dish will be well sprinkled with fresh herbs.

Beets, baked with honey

Composition:

  • beets - 0, 3 kg;
  • olive oil - 50 g;
  • balsamic vinegar - 50 ml;
  • dried thyme - 10 g;
  • honey - 70 g;
  • goat cheese (optional) - 100 g.

Preparation Method:

  • Wash the beets, peel, cut each root vegetable into 4 parts.
  • Lubricate the bottom of the multicooker bowl, put beetroot slices in it, sprinkle them with a small amount of vinegar.
  • Cook using a baking program for 30 minutes.
  • Melt the honey, mix it with the remaining vinegar and oil, add thyme. Pour the beets with the mixture. Restart the Baking program for 30 minutes. Cook for the last 15 minutes with the lid open. If desired, you can add a bit of diced goat cheese at this stage.

Beets baked with honey according to this recipe can be served for dessert. Beets look like glass - this is unusual and very appetizing.

Baked beets with garlic and mustard

Composition:

  • beets - 0, 3 kg;
  • mustard (sauce) - 20 ml;
  • honey (liquid) - 20 ml;
  • garlic - 2 cloves;
  • balsamic vinegar - 50 ml;
  • olive oil - 50 ml;
  • soy sauce - 40 ml.

Preparation Method:

  • Wash and peel the beets, cut them into small pieces or small slices.
  • Skip garlic through a press, mix it with honey, mustard, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
  • Pour marinade on beetroot and leave in it for an hour.
  • Put the beets in foil, wrap and place the multicooker in the bowl.
  • Cook using baking mode for 40 minutes.

This dish is perfect as a side dish for poultry dishes, although you can eat it and just like that.
