For homemade hot chili cherry sauce you need a few pods of red hot pepper and seasoning. Before you add pepper to the sauce, be sure to try it in order not to overdo it with a spicy taste. If you add fresh chilli and ground pepper without tasting it, you can get a sauce that will take first place on the Scoville scale of burning, and even real men will be able to transfer with difficulty.
Spicy sauce “Chili with cherry” is good because it can be cooked at any time of the year, regardless of the garden crop. You can substitute ordinary tomatoes for cherry tomatoes, but try to choose the ripest and brightest fruits, their color will affect the color of the finished sauce.

Ingredients for making spicy sauce “Chili with Cherry”
- 300 g cherry tomatoes;
- 4 pods of red hot chili pepper;
- 4 medium sized bulbs;
- 1-2 heads of garlic;
- 1 tsp. turmeric;
- 1 tsp. curry;
- 2 tsp. sweet paprika flakes;
- 1 tsp. hot red pepper;
- olive oil, salt, sugar.
Method of making hot sauce “Chili with cherry”
We start to do. Chop randomly onions and garlic cloves, add a teaspoon of salt so that the juice begins to stand out from the vegetables. In a skillet with a wide thick bottom, heat about 5 tablespoons of olive oil for frying, add onions and garlic, simmer, cover with a lid, until the onions are soft.
While the onion is being prepared, we will do cherry and chilli. With tomatoes, everything is simple, cut in half, removing the stem. I advise you to chop hot pepper in medical gloves in order to do without consequences, since an eye or nose accidentally rubbed with a hand in a pepper will make itself felt for a long time. Remove seeds and membrane from pepper, chop finely, add to cherry along with sugar. The amount of sugar depends on your taste preferences and the acid of tomatoes, I usually add 3-4 tablespoons.
Add the softened chilli cherry onions, then pour in the spices. We put ground turmeric, sweet paprika in flakes and Indian vegetable curry seasoning. Cover the saucepan with a lid, cook the sauce on low heat for about 30 minutes, the vegetables should be almost completely boiled soft.
When the ready-made sauce has cooled slightly, chop it with an immersion blender, taste it, add sugar and salt if necessary.
This sauce is kept well because of its high content of hot pepper, which is known to be a great preservative. But I advise, just in case, decompose it into sterile and dry jars and pasteurize (at a temperature of about 80 degrees) for about 10 minutes, this ensures reliable storage of the workpiece.
The cooled sauce can be served directly to meat or poultry, its fiery taste should appeal to real men.
