Argued that English cuisine is nothing special. At the root, I do not agree with this, as many of my favorite dishes are somehow connected with the kitchen of foggy Albion. A distinctive feature of some of them - simply and quickly. Crumble in English means crumbs. The dough for dessert can be kneaded in about 5 minutes, as it consists of crumbs, the friability of which gives cold butter. Often, crumble is called not only a crumb cake, but also a cake from leftovers, because the remnants of any seeds and flakes that are stored at the bottom of the kitchen cans and boxes are added to the dough.
You can also collect the remains of various fruits and berries in the filling, and be sure to add a ripe banana, which will give a thick fruit base.
So, practical English hostesses invented a terrific “dessert out of nothing”, which can be prepared in a hurry. Decorated with a scoop of ice cream, crumble will compete with the most exquisite cake!

Ingredients for peach crumble:
- 2 large peaches
- 1 banana
- 5 g ground cinnamon
- 50 g of white sugar
- 120 g of cane sugar
- 80 g cold butter
- 110 g of wheat flour
- 2 g vanillin
- 60 g of oatmeal
- 30 g sunflower seeds
- 10 g pumpkin seeds
Cooking Crumble with Peaches
Making fruit base crumble. Boil the peaches slightly in sugar syrup: dissolve the white sugar in 40 ml of water, bring to a boil, put the peaches in the syrup for 3 minutes.
We take the form for baking (I have a form measuring 20 x 20 centimeters). Slightly lubricate the bottom, sides with vegetable oil, put one layer of peach slices, add slices of ripe banana. Fill the fruit with the remaining syrup and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
Cooking Crumble. To make the top of the cake crumbly, the butter is cooled or frozen. Mix cane sugar, butter and flour. Add vanilla. It is convenient to knead the mass with a fork, so the oil does not heat up from the heat of your hands, but remains in the crumble in the form of small grains.
To make the crumbs even more crumbly and tasty, we add oatmeal, sunflower seeds and pumpkin. Mix these ingredients well. The finished mass should be airy, crumbly and not stick together.
Pour the crumbs on a fruit base, distribute them evenly. Sprinkle with cane sugar on top, which during baking forms a beautiful and appetizing brown crust.
We bake crumble for 20 minutes at a temperature of 210 degrees Celsius.
When the fountains of the boiling filling begin to make their way through the crumbs, and the crust acquires a light brown color, the crumble can be taken from the oven.
Before serving, be sure to cool the crumble completely, and then divide it into portions right on the form. This is not the cake that can be shifted to a dish, but when it is cooled down, it is transportable, so portions can be transferred to plates using a cake spatula.
Crumble is tasty without additions, but if you want to treat your friends to fame, be sure to put a ball of cream ice cream next to it or decorate it with whipped cream.
