Lazy cabbage rolls with mushroom hodgepodge - a quick recipe for those who are not lazy in the fall and stocked up with various homemade pickles. You will need a mushroom hodgepodge with cabbage and a thick vegetable or tomato sauce, in which cabbage rolls will be stewed. If there are no domestic supplies in the farm, then billets from the nearest grocery store will do; good nowadays there is plenty of this kind on the shelves. The dish turns out to be satisfying, two duckies are enough for one serving of an adult, and if you pour plenty of sour cream on them and add a slice of fresh rye bread, then you don’t want to eat before dinner!

I don’t know who, and for what, called them lazy, in my opinion, this variety of cabbage does not deserve a humiliating adjective from the keyword “laziness”. The dish is so simple and tasty that my home is not against eating it every day, the benefit of cooking options is an incredible variety - with meat, mushrooms, lean and even with fish!

Ingredients for lazy cabbage rolls with mushroom hodgepodge
- 500 g of mushroom hodgepodge;
- 500 g chicken fillet or minced meat;
- 350 g of boiled rice;
- 250 g of vegetable or tomato paste;
- 100 ml of water;
- 50 ml of olive oil;
- sugar, salt, pepper, greens.
Method of cooking lazy cabbage with mushroom hodgepodge
So, lay out a half-liter jar of mushroom solyanka and cabbage in a bowl. It must be remembered that salt in canned food is usually a lot, so the rest of the ingredients should be salted with caution!
Mince a chicken filet through a meat grinder, add to bowl. This dish can be cooked with any minced meat, in my opinion, with a chicken, an easier recipe is obtained.
Then add cold boiled rice to the bowl. To ducky glued well and did not crumble, it is better to use sticky rice varieties.
Thoroughly knead the minced meat, add salt to taste, pepper with freshly ground black pepper. Remove the bowl for 10 minutes in the fridge.
Making a sauce in which the dish will be stewed. Mix thick vegetable paste with cold water, olive oil. To taste add sugar and salt.
Take a refractory baking dish, pour sauce into it. With wet hands we make large oval stuffed cabbage rolls from minced meat, put it into shape with a small distance between them. From the specified amount, 9-12 pieces are obtained, depending on what size of the patties you think is large.
The oven is heated to a temperature of 185 degrees Celsius. Place the mold in the middle of the oven, cook 30 minutes. If the sauce evaporates during the cooking process, just add a little boiling water.
To the table lazy cabbage rolls with mushroom soups are served hot, sprinkled with fresh herbs, pour sour cream or ketchup. Enjoy your meal!
By the way, vegetable paste for sauce can be quickly prepared from raw vegetables, which are always on hand. Grind in a blender a head of onions, a garlic clove, a few tomatoes, a carrot, a small zucchini or eggplant and greens. Add salt, vegetable oil and sugar, boil over moderate heat for 10-15 minutes, store in the fridge, use for making sauces.
