The Easter holiday is very near. One of the symbols of this holiday is the Easter cake. One recipe for the Easter cake Mistress of the estate has already presented to your attention. Today I will tell you about an unusual, but very tasty recipe.

Easter cake “Original”


Milk - 1 cup.

Egg - 4 pieces.

Margarine - 30 gr.

Sugar - 5 tablespoons.

Butter - 100 gr.

Vegetable oil - 4 tablespoons.

Vanilla sugar - 2 sachets.

Dry yeast - 18 gr.

Salt - to taste.

Flour - 4 cups.

Raisins - 4 tablespoons.

Protein - 3 pcs.

Sugar powder, lemon juice.


Beat 4 eggs with a mixer, heat the milk and pour the beaten eggs into it. Mix well and set aside for a minute, not forgetting to stir. The mass should be similar in consistency to kissel. Melt margarine and 50 grams of butter. Add to the mixture. We also send vanilla, sugar, salt and 2 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil. We mix everything and dissolve the yeast in this mixture. Now you need to mix a little flour, so that the dough resembled liquid sour cream.

Cover the dough with a towel and place in a warm place for fermentation. The fermentation time is different, it all depends on the quality of the yeast, on the temperature. How to determine whether the dough came or not yet, you can read here.

The dough which has approached well is crushed and carefully poured into it 2 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil, add the remaining flour and set again to approach. Two times we lay down the approached dough. At the end add the raisins and mix. Grease the baking dish with butter or any fat. It is better not to use vegetable oil for lubrication, at high temperature it is drying out and it is very difficult to scrub it, and the forms and trails quickly lose their “appearance”. Put the dough in the form and send the cake in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 40 minutes.

After 15-20 minutes, you need to look into the oven, if the top of the cake starts to roast, you can cover it with foil or parchment. While the cake is baked proceed to the preparation of the glaze.


We will need 3 egg whites. separated from the yolks. To them we add a bag of powdered sugar and a few drops of lemon juice. We take out the cake from the form and pour over the glaze. From above you can decorate with confectionary dressing, which is now sold in our stores in a large assortment.
