We make a healthy lunch: chicken beef stroganoff with leek, and crusty white rice with steamed broccoli and cauliflower as a side dish. This three times hot meal is not only satisfying, but also very useful. There are many recipes for cooking meat “in a Stroganov style”, sometimes the name “Beef Stroganov” is found. Previously, it was made from finely chopped beef and poured sour cream sauce, but over time, many variations appeared on the theme of this popular meat stew, they began to cook it even from chicken.

Ingredients for chicken beef stroganoff with leek, rice, broccoli and cauliflower.
For stew:
- 400 g chicken breast;
- 150 g leek;
- 150 grams of sweet pepper;
- 150 g carrots;
- 1 chili;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 150 ml of sour cream;
- 15 g wheat flour in \ s;
- 25 ml of olive oil;
- salt, ground pepper.
For the garnish:
- 180 g of white rice;
- 20 g butter;
- 200 g cauliflower;
- 200 g broccoli.
Method of cooking beef stroganoff from leek, rice, broccoli and cauliflower
We take a large chicken breast, remove the skin, cut off the bones. Cut fillets into plates with a thickness of about a centimeter. Put between two sheets of food film slightly repelled. Then cut into strips half a centimeter wide across the fibers.
Heat refined olive oil in a pan, fry the chicken until golden brown (about 5 minutes).
Cut the light portion of leek on the rings. We press the garlic cloves with a knife. Chilli cut finely, after removing the seeds and partitions from it.
We shift the meat to the side, put garlic cloves in the pan first, and after 1-2 minutes - leek. Fry the onions for 3-4 minutes.
Add a thinly shredded carrot to the chicken, to speed up the cooking process, you can rub it on a large grater.
The aroma of stew will add sweet Bulgarian pepper: we clean it from seeds, cut the flesh into small cubes, add to the rest of the ingredients. Cooking vegetables with chicken on high heat without a lid for 7 minutes.
We measure off the wheat flour, grind with sour cream until a homogeneous mixture without lumps is obtained, if necessary, add a little cold water. Pour sour cream sauce into the pan, bring to a boil. By the way, flour can be replaced with corn starch, if you want to make a gluten-free dish.
Cook the stew on a quiet fire without a lid for 8 minutes, season with salt and season with freshly ground black pepper.
While the meat is stewing, boil rice and cook vegetables.
So, disassemble into small broccoli florets and cauliflower heads. Cook for a couple of 10 minutes, for small inflorescences this time is enough. Sprinkle with a little pinch of salt.
The rice must be rinsed with cold water several times until the water is clear. Then pour 200 ml of water into a small saucepan, put a piece of butter and 4 g of salt. Pour the cereal, after boiling, cook under a lid on low heat for 15 minutes.
Put a layer of rice on a plate, on top of beef stroganoff, then broccoli and cauliflower. Sprinkle all the onion rings and immediately served to the table.
