Tasty pork with chickpeas and onions in the oven - a hearty lunch, which will have to tinker, but the result is worth it. Meat of chickpeas with meat is well prepared for Sunday dinner, when there is time and desire to feed the family with something tasty. Do not forget to soak chickpeas in advance, you can simply leave the bowl with chickpeas in the refrigerator overnight. By the way, pork can also be marinated the day before to reduce the cooking time the next day.

Ingredients for pork with chickpeas and onions
- 750 g pork boneless;
- 300 g chickpea;
- 200 g onions;
- 4 cloves of garlic;
- 200 g tomatoes;
- 100 g sweet bell pepper;
- 25 ml of olive oil;
- salt, black pepper, soy sauce, spices;
- green onions for filing.
Method of cooking pork with chickpeas and onions in the oven
Soak chickpeas in cold water for 12 hours, every 3-4 hours it is desirable to change the water. The chickpeas are soaked so that, firstly, it boils faster, and secondly, so that there are no problems with flatulence.
Soaked chickpeas put in a soup pot, pour 3 liters of cold water, bring to a boil. Close the pan tightly and cook over moderate heat for 1, 5-2 hours, at the very end add salt to taste. Ready chickpeas recline in a colander.
Pork cut into thick pieces across the fibers. We make pieces 2-2, 5 centimeters thick. Meat for this recipe I advise you to choose with a small amount of fat, it will be juicier, and the dish will turn out delicious if you cook it from pork neck.
Do not beat off the pork slices in any convenient way - a hammer, a grinder for potatoes or a normal rolling pin. In the absence of such devices, even an ordinary flat stone will do.
Marinate pork - rub it with fine salt without additives, a drop of soy sauce, ground black and red pepper and olive oil. Leave in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Cut into onion rings with thick rings, put in a sleeve for baking. Spread marinated pork slices on the onion pillow. Tying the sleeve on both sides is not very tight - if you make a sealed package, the sleeve will burst when heated.
We heat the oven to a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius. Bake pork for 25 minutes on the middle shelf.
In the meantime, while chickpeas are boiled, make sauce. We press garlic cloves with a knife, chop finely. Tomatoes pour boiling water, peel, cut into cubes. We clean sweet Bulgarian pepper from seeds, we remove partitions, we cut straws.
In the heated olive oil, quickly fry the garlic, add the chopped tomatoes and paprika, simmer the vegetables for 10 minutes, at the end add salt to taste and add onion to the sauce, on which meat is baked.
In a deep frying pan, lay out the ready chickpeas, pieces of meat on it, put a tablespoon of sauce on each piece of pork, send everything to an oven heated to 230 degrees for 5-8 minutes. Sprinkle with green onions before serving.
