Potato pie in the oven with minced meat and vegetables is the simplest and most delicious hot dish that even a child can cook if he is allowed to use the oven. Potato pie is sometimes called potato casserole, but it doesn’t matter what they call it, it’s important that it’s very tasty and easy!
You can take any minced meat to your taste, but the best is minced meat, in which both beef and pork are present in equal proportions.
To make the cake tasty, it is important to season the meat correctly. Hops-suneli or curry, ginger, garlic and chillies are the most important ingredients, without them the flavor will be completely different.

Ingredients for potato pie with minced meat and vegetables
- 400 g of minced meat;
- 1 onion;
- 1 pod of chili;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 10 g of ginger root;
- 120 g canned tomatoes;
- 100 g of green peas;
- 500 g of potatoes;
- 100 g of cream;
- 50 g of fresh greens;
- 60 g butter;
- 30 grams of vegetable oil;
- 5 g hops-suneli;
- 15 g wheat flour;
- salt (to taste).
Method of cooking potato pie with minced meat and vegetables
Heat the vegetable oil in the pan, add the minced meat to the warmed oil, pour the hops-suneli or any other spice mix for the meat to your taste. Fry minced meat on high heat for several minutes.
While the meat is being cooked, we cut a small small pod of chili pepper along with the seeds, cut the red onion into thin slices. Throw in the pan to the minced chili with onions.
In a mortar, rub the peeled ginger root, a few cloves of garlic and a pinch of coarse salt. Salt in this case plays the role of abrasive.
Add the pounded spices to the minced meat in the pan, fry all together for 20 minutes.
Then put the canned tomatoes. Instead of them, you can quickly fry finely chopped fresh tomato in vegetable oil, sprinkle with salt and sugar, you get almost the same effect.
The last place we put green peas - fresh or frozen. Stew vegetables with minced meat for 15 minutes, season with salt. 5 minutes before readiness, add wheat flour diluted in 30 ml of cold water. It is needed to bind the ingredients.
Cut small potatoes, cook until ready, mash with a fork or grinder for potatoes.
Add mashed butter, cream and finely chopped greens, it will be tasty with green onions and parsley. Mix mashed potatoes, pour fine salt.
Put the minced meat with vegetables in the ceramic form. Then add the potatoes.
We put the potato in such a way that a part of it “hooked” to the edges of the form, then we pierce the potato layer in the corners in order to “let off steam”.
Fork do the waves on the surface, during baking, they will turn into a crisp.
Heat the oven to 190 degrees. Put the potato pie in the oven for 30-35 minutes. All the ingredients are ready, but what a pie without a golden top, so you have to wait for it to redden.
